Hi, I finally got around to taking some current pics, mostly as I decided to
introduce Eowyn to the boys kinda spur of the moment and couldn’t let it
happen without documentation;) (The other pics in the album are just from
earlier in the day.)
They all did great; actually didn’t seem that interested in eachother for
much of it. That may have been because they all had the experience of mom
trying to get them to try a swim…they didn’t like it to say the least:p
Now they don’t even like going near the bathroom. Arwen seemed to grow bored
with it the quickest and used my bare arm as a ladder to escape so they all
got let back to their cages to calm down. I think it was a great start and I
will try the playpen next time. I saw absolutely no signs of the boys wanted
to jump her, but I’m still planning on watching them:)

Thanks for sharing - it was interesting seeing pics of them meeting. Sounds like everything went really well, it'd be good for Eowyn to have some company again and at 27 months I'm sure she'll not get pregnant. Tracey

Great pics, I love seeing ratties au naturel! If the boys didn't go sniffing her genitals, then I bet all is safe. She's probably no longer going into heat and marking it. The boys may not even care about it either although, there was a male rat become a dad at almost 3 years of age. :0 Another thing to watch for is the males cleaning themselves (genitals) excessively, that means they are getting overly excited. 😉 Joanne Owned by 15 rats

Have managed to get 3 pics of the 4 babies.
They are at the moment very difficult to tell apart, there are no
distinguishing features. So when I do eventually know who’s who I will post
seperate pics of them.
Jackie – Jorja and Texas <:_)~ and the Boys, Ronald, Scratch, Rupert and Wilbur.

Awww, they are gorgeous. It makes me laugh when I see ratties taking a nap in weird positions like that! Tracey

Hi Jackie, Your rats are adorable! Especialy Badger, What kind of a rat is he? He looks like a ferret. I have one that is the same color as , uhm, I forgot who. Kind of a gray-brown. I don't know what that color would be called. What kind of a cage is that? Anyway, cute ratties!

Bagder was a Bagder Blaze mis-marked top eared. So that's where the name came from. He was at the grand old age of 3 when he was PTS. I will have to go on the Webshots and put RIP on most of them as they have all passed away now except for the girls Texas and Jorja who are now just over 2 years old and my new boys Ronald, Scratch, Rupert and Wilbur. The cages are all Speedy Chinchilla's. I would love a Martins like Joannes but they do not export to UK and to ship it would be very expensive. The last Speedy we purchased was around 100.00 so not too bad a price.
